چکیده
Cosmic dust plays a dominant role in the universe, especially formation of stars and planetary systems. Furthermore, surface cosmic grains is bench-work where molecular hydrogen simple organic compounds are formed. We manipulate individual particles water solution by contactless non-invasive techniques such as standard Raman tweezers, to characterize their response mechanical effects light (optical forces torques) determine mineral compositions. Moreover, we show accurate optical force calculations T-matrix formalism highlighting key composition complex morphology trapping particles. This opens perspectives for future applications tweezers curation facilities sample return missions or extraterrestrial environments.

Optical and Magnetic Properties of Dust Grains
The optical and magnetic properties of dust grains are reviewed , as they relate to the problem of interstellar grain alignment. Grain geometry plays an important role in determining the optical properties , and scattering and absorption of starlight will produce radiative torques which may drive grains to suprathermal rates of rotation in in-terstellar clouds; these radiative torques appear li...

Optical , UV , and X - Ray Scattering by Interstellar Dust Grains
Scattering and absorption properties at optical, ultraviolet, and X-ray wavelengths are calculated for an interstellar dust model consisting of carbonaceous grains and amorphous silicate grains. The widely-used Henyey-Greenstein phase function provides a good approximation for the scattering phase function at wavelengths between ∼0.4 and 1µm, but fails to fit the calculated phase functions at s...
متن کاملInterstellar Extinction by Spheroidal Dust Grains
Observations of interstellar extinction and polarization indicate that the interstellar medium consists of aligned non-spherical dust grains which show variation in the interstellar extinction curve for wavelengths ranging from NIR to UV. To model the extinction and polarization, one cannot use the conventional Mie theory which assumes the grains as solid spheres. We have used a T-matrix based ...
متن کاملOptical amplifier for space applications.
We describe an optical amplifier designed to amplify a spatially sampled component of an optical wavefront to kilowatt average power. The goal is means for implementing a strategy of spatially segmenting a large aperture wavefront, amplifying the individual segments, maintaining the phase coherence of the segments by active means, and imaging the resultant amplified coherent field. Applications...
